Diana Burco es una cantautora y acordeonista de la explosiva y multidimensional escena musical colombiana. Esta profunda fluidez cultural y sus propias exploraciones contemporáneas de gran alcance, marcan a Burco como una juglar del siglo XXI que traza un camino original enraizado en el rico patrimonio de su país.
Su primer álbum, “Diana Burco” fue nominado a Mejor Álbum Cumbia / Vallenato en los Latin Grammy Awards de 2018. La primera mujer en ser nominada en la historia del Vallenato.
Rio abajo, su segundo álbum, fue nominado a Mejor Álbum Tropical Contemporáneo en los Latin Grammy Awards de 2021.
Diana Burco ha participado en programas y plataformas de todo el mundo como One Beat Colombia, Ethno World y MAPAS (Artes Performativas del Atlántico Sur). Su gira debut en Estados Unidos la realizó en marzo de 2022 e incluyó espectáculos en Albuquerque y Santa Fe NM, Burlington VT, Great Barrington MA, Washington DC, West Palm Beach FL, Nueva York y Savannah GA.

A rising star of the explosive and multi-dimensional Colombian music scene, Diana Burco is a singer-songwriter and accordion player. Her debut album “Diana Burco” was nominated to the 2018 Latin Grammys in the Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album, making her the first female artist to get this distinction. Rio abajo, her second album, was nominated for Best Contemporary Tropical Album to the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards.
Burco has played and investigated Colombia’s traditional music since she was a child. She has traveled throughout Colombia searching out the country’s varied forms and expressions, and has studied and collaborates with the masters that interpret them.
This deep cultural fluency and her own wide-ranging contemporary explorations mark Burco as a 21st century troubadour charting an original path rooted in her country’s rich heritage.
